Behind CCC

Welcome to CreepieCutieCritters! Behind the screen is a human named Mikhailei—hello! and my 2 ferrets, 2 family dogs, and 3 family cats. My goal is to entertain, have fun and help owners with care, nutrition, enrichment, and hot topics on their pets!

Animals have always been my passion and love in life. As a child I grew up with dogs, cats, exotic animals like lizards and snakes; and when visiting family in other countries I have worked with farm animals like chickens, ducks, geese, horses, roosters, and pigs! I have also fostered cats and lizards. As I grew up, I knew I loved working with and around animals; I always wanted to learn more about them, no matter the subject. This love spread into my free time! I have volunteered and worked with businesses that educate others on exotic animals, as well as with animal sanctuaries. I currently have my accreditation certificate in natural medicine from The Hyamson Institute in Liverpool, UK. I am also currently studying for my certificate in homeopathy and advancing my knowledge in herbalism. I am weeks away from becoming a certified canine nutritionist and in the fall I will be attending Penn Foster where I will begin my studies in Veterinary Technology. My goal is to obtain my undergraduate degree from Penn Foster and transfer to get my Masters and PhD in veterinary integrative medicine.. Animals are my love and passion; My life revolves around them, so chances are if it has something to do with animals, I most likely will be there!

As I grew older, I realized that not many people understood how to properly care for certain species or breeds; and I even realized that I wasn’t doing things right! As a young teen I began to open my eyes to the realities of pet care and saw that everything is not what it seems. Research, responsibility, commitment and proper care is a must with every pet; and I knew that I had to begin to research every aspect of how to care for the animals in my home to provide the best life I can for these amazing creatures I am so lucky to share my life with.

After years, and years, and years of reading new studies, information, trends, and care for dogs, cats, certain reptiles, farm animals, ferrets, rodents; I understood that it could become overwhelming and discouraging fast. It was hard to fully trust everything I saw or read without more information and sources, and finding information on specific topics is hard and sometimes seemingly impossible; most times it has to be pieced together from various other studies and articles which makes the process all the more confusing, long and even frustrating. Learning about these things and figuring them out is what I love to do; so I thought why not make a platform that can provide information on pet care to make it easier for others? Although, I can find it frustrating, the satisfaction of understanding what I am trying to solve or learn is the best reward I can ask for!

Animals need to have the best care possible, as owners it is our responsibility to provide this for our pets and make sure they are loved and healthy! To do this, research is key. My platform CreepieCutieCritters only wants to provide the best information possible for other pet parents from another pet parent. I am in no way a certified animal worker/nutritionist or licensed animal professional or veterinarian; I am simply a pet owner who loves to learn about pet care and wants to share that knowledge with others. In every post I make, I will always stress that I am not certified; all of my posts are based off of my own experience and my own research. As a pet parent, you must do your research and consult with professionals when it comes to your pets care and diet; CreepieCutieCritters is in no way responsible for your pets health, wellness or care when you choose to follow certain posts or information provided; every pet is different and requires their own kind of care. This is not to say the information we provide is false, misleading, or intended to hurt any one animal, company, or person; it is simply to stress the importance of researching topics and speaking to professionals. Relying on one source no matter what is dangerous, even if that source seems like it is trustworthy and only wants the best intentions. We are all only human, and our own knowledge is the best way we can care for our pets; so the number one thing I will always stress in every post is how important your own research is. Knowledge is power and the only way to solve a problem is to understand the problem; to do that you need to read, ask questions, and do your research. Professionals should always be consulted with, and research should always be from credible sources, ie. articles that have references, people who are certified in the area of question, etc.

I hope you enjoy what we have to offer here at CreepieCutieCritters, and you find it helpful for you and your loving companion. Anything I share will only be topics I believe in, use, or follow; I only want the best for my pet, as well as others. Animals are the best gift life can give us and we must treat them as such.

With love and prosperity

Mikhailei from CreepieCutieCritters
